There's no need to read schematics, just use the BOM that you will find in our downloads page. The Ref Des column (reference designator) indicates where to place each component. Those same references are printed in the PCB silkscreen.
The only polarized components you need to worry about are:
U1 the big IC: should have the mark pointing upwardsD1 the led: long leg to the round padU2 is also polarized, but the footprint clearly indicates how to place it
