New version of Notochord?

I just got an email saying there is a new version out with bugfixes, etc. When I went to the downloads page, it was still the same version I already had from a month ago. Have I missed something?

In case of doubt you can always check https://wiki.chordata.cc/wiki/Releases
When a software release is anounced it is normally accompanied by the version number and changelog.

Check your notochord version with

bin/notochord --version

If it matches the one you received on the email then you are good to go.

I am finally able to get to this project now after many life changes related to the pandemic, work and other issues. Sorry to be lagging so far behind. I have just flashed a new SD card with the Raspberry Pi OS with notochord built in. I powered it up and it seems to have loaded fine. It stopped and is asking for my notochord login. I was searching the forum for info on that and haven't found it yet. Can you help me get logged in so I can test out the new parts? I was also searching the forum for info on the new K-Ceptor R2.3. If you can guide me to info on that and how to set them to 0, 1, and 2 values (I assume it's now done with the jumper J5, but I don't know for sure. Thank you, and I hope to be getting deep into this project now.

Found the login info. login: pi, and password: chordata

Still need to know where to find info on the K-Ceptor R2.3 however.

hey HalloweenBob !! good to see you back around here. As you noticed many things have change.

First of all the new version of the notochord is released and it contains a new sensor fusion algorithm that is much more stable and accurate. You can download and install a pre-configured version of Raspbian containing it from our downloads page.

There's now a "Custom node" on the blender add-on that might be useful for you to convert the capture stream in text. Let me know if you need support on modifying the script you already have.

There's no dedicated info page for the KC 2.3, but it's really similar to the previous revision apart from the fact that the address can be set with the jumper on J5.
The uppermost positions sets it as 0 and the lowermost as 2.

The one thing to keep is mind is Not to live-plug this revision of the KCs while the Hub is powered or it might burn down the buck converter!! Thank you! I did see, download and install the per-configured version of Raspbian with notochord installed. That went smoothly. I found the info on the new K-Ceptor in the downloads section. Thanks for the warning about hot-swapping the K-Ceptors. I was unaware of that issue, but fortunately had not tried to do that. I was able to scan, and even calibrate the first K-Ceptor and got successful results from doing it with code on the Pi. I will go through the videos you suggest. So far, I got stumped while trying to work with it in Blender. I was able to connect to the K-Ceptor using the K-Ceptor model plugin. In the second box, where I was supposed to click on which K-Ceptor from the dropdown list I wanted to work with, the K-Ceptor number that I had (only 1 plugged in at that point) was not in the list. A different number was there. I couldn't manually enter the number that I did have, so I could not continue past that point.
