IMUSim, first of it is not a physical robotic thing. The simulator uses accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers. It can use BVH as input or output or real-time output. You use your real setup with sensors or model different kinds of sensors.

The Blender to IMUSim does not exist; someone has build it.
You can use IMUSim for a lot of things or not at all. I will use it for a server and AI. The sim can be use for robot or just external servers but all in real-time.

If you want to find it yourself use google "IMUSim". This is my last post.

Seems like a really interesting software. I would like to get more information, unfortunately the website is down

9 days later

well i did get most of the stuff do with IMUSim including the documents on the software, the problems, possible corrections, using python3 instead of python27, and sources.. Also i want to use Nvidia devices at $99 each but i have not experimented with that yet. You have cython for ARM but it should still work since the code is C.

Now iI noticed that Chordata dev kit is available soon. thats good because if i get same money maybe i can find someone to wear it for particular poses. There was an Intel guy that did 30+ sensors with three small computers, That could be made into a suit. I have some notes about that too.

Now what am after is a complete pipeline like Iclone+UE4
https://www.reallusion.com/iclone/live-link/unreal-engine/

that is complete system but slight expensive but i think for two system it would be about $4000 not including the suits. There is a demo for 30 days but they say you need an RTX render. I am going to buy the pipeline and the RTX card and a new computer by the end of the year and probably a suit like Chordata if the coronavirus doesnt kill me first.

I dont get any money for this so i am not too eager to do much yet. I have Nvidia next door so i can talk to them about the RTX; UE4 i dont remember where they are. Intel doesnt like me because i quit on them and now i am too old to swept their floors.

Oh i am calling it Motion Machine from tensors; i like tensors, didnt understand most of it, but i like it.

I would create a Motion Machine topic if anyone has an interest. I have the documents and source but i dont know where i would put them. I also have papers dealing with bvh editing and some other stuff. good thing i have clones.

I can also post on my website and i got a discord account. Maybe i will do that, a brief here and read the rest on my web site.

One more thing--- there is an indie part in the Icone that makes it cheaper if you make less than $100,000 a year. You have to have the Iclone and the exchange and that's $600. And may still have to have an RTX card and Chordata suit or other suit.

this is an example of the RTX engine:

So it not going to be cheap unless you already have a Nvidia RTX card.

But you can get a demo for 30 days to see how it works. If you are a developer, this may be worth it. You don't really need the RTX but i have a feeling that you will need it to make it all work. Apparently all the different suits will work but i don't know yet.

Now remember this is for a high quality animation system. This doesn't involve IMUSim and you can probably make things cheaper yourself. I think with Blender 2.8 you can make yourself a nice system without RTX card.

I think you if don;t have ray tracing enable, you can get by with a regular Nvidia graphics like 1070. This is not an example of real-time from a motion control suit, but instead of a fbx animation from Iclone 7. If i find one with a real-time animation i will include in the Motion Machine post.

i found out that you can use GTX 1060-1080 for the RTX rending with UE4 4.22 and up. you have to a little to set up it and it work-- most the time. If you have any problems, the Nvidia driver has the fault; just reload and you should be ok.

So you can get the demo for 30 days, GTX 1060 or higher, and try just the fbx files because i dont how it will work with Chordata yet.

And where is the chordata.xml?

The indie license is for the live link only for free. The other packages are from $990 to $5000. And then for real-time you have to have an interface to a suit like some predefined suits. So get a demo first before anything else.
