Thanks for taking time to respond to my inquiry! Oh boy. I'll get back to you in full earnest come tomorrow but I can hit on a couple things you asked about before I start through some of the other topics.
"I guess you built the hardware yourself. " -- So far yes I have.
"Do you have some previous electronic knowledge? " -- I have some programming knowledge with C Sharp and using game engines but this is a new beast for me.
"How was the soldering process?" -- This is my first soldering project. I'll send you some pictures come tomorrow on my setup and dig up my specs.
"did you do some tests to troubleshoot the problem? " -- If you mean testing circuits on the boards, I figured if they didn't work I would have to learn how to go about that.... I have no clue how to do that though at this point.
"Also some photos of your setup might help us discover problems better." -- I'll try to get that all together tomorrow. Long day today and just noticed you got back to me.
" What about the Hub alone to the RPi? Did you try to run notochord only with it?" -- The hub connected to the Pi3 doesn't turn off anything.
"Did you try to run notochord only with it?" -- I can run the operating system and went through the process of installing notochord, i.e. bash <(curl -sL https://gitlab.com/chordata/notochord/raw/develop/install_notochord.sh), and it seems to run but when I look in the bin folder I can't find the /notochord file in there. Honestly this could be what's causing the issue. I know that after I install it and close out the window and try to run it with cd bin ./notochord, I end up getting issues with the system not recognizing the supposed installation. I just don't know how else to install notochord outside the two methods on the wiki or why my Pi3 B+ would have issues installing after installing the Raspbian Stretch image in the wiki.
"Do you have a tester?"-- I do but this is new stuff so I'll have to youtube up on this.
I'll see what I can muster up with the recommendations you gave me . I appreciate you taking time out of your day to give this dumb dumb some feedback 🙂. Crossing my fingers I can get this system working so I can save loads of time on animating models instead of going through the mind numbing frame by frame animation process I've had to do :S.
