Nice to see you're almost there!
AxonSpark But wouldn't the purple (3v3 to Enable) and black (Ground) pins also not be used?
ENABLE and Ground are use on both configurations
AxonSpark Does it matter which gate of the Hub a chain of K-ceptors is plugged into (eg. do the right arm K-ceptors need to be plugged in to a specific gate, or will the program read the K-ceptors and auto-configure the armature)?
Good question! I now see that the picture on ยง5 of the user Manual doesn't include the gate numbers, will correct that.
You do have to plug them in an specific way, in this case the order stated on default_biped.xml
:
- left_arm: CH_1
- body : CH_2
- right_arm: CH_3
- left_leg: CH_4
- hips: CH_5
- right_leg: CH_6
AxonSpark I'm going to try using Auto-Rig Pro to create the rig for the test, but it doesn't seem to be able to make less than 3 spinal bones. When making a rig to match the K-ceptor configuration, do I need to make 2 spinal bones (base & dorsal) and one head bone?
You can use your own armature for the capture, but I would suggest to use the default one (which can be found on our downloads area) for the first tests. Once you confirm everything is working fine move to the custom one.
When making your own rig you have to uncheck the Capture Bone
property from the bones which won't be related to a K-Ceptor. You can achieve it from a big button found on the advanced
tab of the add-on, the button is only visible on Capture Mode
.
The Capture bones have to be named as in the picture, the other ones are not important. Take a look at how the default rig is done: There are a couple of non Capture bones like the clavicle ones.
