Hello. Greetings from Colorado. I am one of the lucky beta testers for the Chordata system. I will start contributing much more here now that I can get my project going.
I was fascinated with inertia-based mocap systems and searching online found the existing systems that were in the low $1000 range. These were remarkable, but it seemed like more of an investment, with clear ROI ideas. Instead, I just wanted to play with IMU chips with the least amount of baggage as possible. I found Chordata and it seemed perfect. A few emails and online contributions and I'm building up my units.
So far, every step has been consistent with the instructions and advise from Bruno and the Chordata team. I even was able to introduce my daughter to soldering.
Software on the Raspberry Pi couldn't have been more simple. I opt'd for the simple single command that imports the bash script from the net. Everything installed correctly and i2c was enabled.
I'll go into more detail as these boards breath to life, but I wanted to get out that these threads in the forum are really valuable to avoid any problems that have been discovered.
