Hello,
I have recently been working with the mocap suit again, and it seems that the system will not boot up (often times, it is stuck in a boot loop, and does not actually make it to the command prompt). I believe this is an issue with the hub, because when the hub it not connected, the raspberry pi powers on fine. Without the hub though, it cannot recognize any hub, k-ceptors, etc. I checked all connections, and did need to solder the USB port on the hub because it came loose.
Update: After doing some testing, I tried the 3v3 rail from the SBC power configuration, in case the buck converter on the hub was burnt. I am able to get the blue LED to light, and the raspberry pi to power on, but the Hub is still not recognized. Doing the i2cdetect test results in all dashes for every channel. If I try to plug in the k-ceptor armature, the Hub is not detected either, so notochord --scan aborts. Also, there is the occasional under-voltage alert that comes up, although I have tried with two separate power banks (that have worked in the past), and they both give that occasional alert.
thanks for your help!
Update again: After several trials of disconnecting and reconnecting the hub/raspberry pi, I was able to get it running with the 3v3 rail power configuration. I’m not sure what caused the original issue with this configuration, but for now it seems to be working. Is there anything I should check to make sure this doesn’t happen again?
